VELESSTROY employees have successfully completed the main stage of hydraulic tests at the construction section km 222.4 –- km 293 of the linear part of the oil pipeline "TS ESPO-Komsomolskiy Oil Refinery".
Testing started on May 15 and was divided into two stages. The first stage involved filling the oil pipeline with water under a hydraulic load. The pipe pressure reached more than 11 MPa within a day, which was several times higher than the operational characteristics of the pipeline. After checking the pipeline for strength, the second stage– leakage testing, which the pressure was derated for 12 hours, on the contrary.
The testing process was monitored by representatives of the supervisory authorities and the customer of LLC MCC ESPO.
"We have a lot of work to do, but I want to note that since hydraulic testing of the pipeline is coming to an end, and the completion of the project under the contract is scheduled for the second half of 2018, we can say that we are ahead of the construction schedule," commented Sergey Voskovsky, Deputy Production Manager of Amur Project ESPO-LP 70 km.
"The main stage of the tests ended ahead the schedule, and I can say that the team has played an important role. This is our pride.
