From July, 1 to August, 31, as part of Perspective annual program, a paid internship for student was organized.
During internship, the students visited construction sites, came to know technological processes and work methods, got an opportunity to develop their knowledge, and got hands-on experience.
As an option, some student could undertake internship at departments, not necessarily relevant to their educational profile. As Maxim Rudik, the student of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, told us, his internship at Yamal LNG project, at Welding and Assembly Unit, was easy to adapt.
I am a candidate Master degree at Faculty of Gas and Oil Pipelines Engineering and Operation, but decided to take a stab at something different. Of course, I had basic knowledge, but in practice, it turned out very different. What helped me to adapt? I guess it’s colleagues, always eager to help. A Lead Specialist took me under the wing. He set the tasks for me, supervised by work, and was always ready to answer my questions. Thus, I blended into the team easily, adapted quickly and gradually started completing more complicated and demanding challenges. As a whole, Velesstroy is a great company, which opens up opportunities for career and personal development. This internship helped me to choose my career development, to enroll for an oil and gas company, particularly Velesstroy! – Maxim told us during his interview.
Our specialists conducted a survey among the interns, and almost all said that they would like to enroll for Velesstroy after graduation! The students come from the different regions of Russia, including the warmest and most southern cities, and without doubt agree to work at Far North located projects. They adapt and соре with the tasks easily.
We congratulate all the students on the successful completion of internships and we hope that the skills that you have acquired at Velesstroy will help you in the future!
