“Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean” ESPO-2

In 2010, Stage 2. Works in oil pipeline “Eastern Siberia- Pacific Ocean” ESPO-2 got started. To increase crude oil export to Japan and South Korea by 30 MTPA it is necessary to install more than two thousand kilometers of main oil pipeline in Khabarovsk and Primorsk Krai, Amur and Evreyskaya autonomous region - from already completed PS Skovorodino to oil loading port “Kos’mino” in Nakhodka region, to construct several pump stations and increase the port pass-through capacity as much as twice. It is vital to preserve the natural environment during work performance, to minimize impact to environment, which is impossible to ensure unless you use high-tech methods using the finest equipment. Technically complicated works and strict requirements not only to the results but also to the project implementation process involve compulsory usage of Siberia and Far East equipment and manpower and promote social and economic development of the region: employment growth, not only in the Fuel & Energy Sector but also in the related industries, proficiency of the staff involved in the project gets improved, increased tax payment to the state budget of all levels. 

VELESSTROY was contracted for the oil pipeline construction in ESPO-2 project. 

VELESSTROY is actively engaged in Stage 2. ESPO expansion not only finalizing full-scale construction of pump stations (PS) but also it works on infrastructure development; power-generation facilities installation including power equipment and fire protection systems, sewer and process pipelines, general site improvement works. 

Company employees work on a back-to-back rotation for which reason “Velesstroy” LLC takes care of employees and its health and creates the most comfortable conditions as it is possible. Small camps including accommodation, canteens, medical stations, laundries and sport facilities are constructed on any construction site.

Pump Station No 34 + Expansion

This pump station is just like a plant if we take into account the complex production, quantities of absorbed power, number of staff and invested inventories. The tanks that we built are used as surge tanks which provide the pump station with ability to operate in a more versatile manner. VELESSTROY completed the construction of the pump station and was involved in the followup expansion of it. 

It was difficult to simultaneously implement construction of four pump stations of ESPO– 2 pipeline project: Pump Station No 34, Pump Station No 36, Pump Station 38, Pump Station 41.

Pump Station No 36

From 2010 till 2012 VELESSTROY worked at Pump Station No 36 which is located in Khabarovsk krai within the run from pump station Skovorodino to specialized oil-loading seaport Kozmino. On this site our company completed the work package to construct buildings and facilities including buildings of main pump station and water supply pump station, control rooms, gasoline service station, enclosed machinery parking lot, water and fuel and lube tanks.

Pump Station No 38

Pump Station No 41

Pump Station No 41 is the end point of the Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean pipeline system. The pump station houses the equipment for oil pumping and two tanks which are 50 thousand cubic meters of crude, each. VELESSTROY finalized the complete work package for the pump station construction: tank farm, main and booster pump station, control room, fire depot, fuel-supply point, power supply and other works. 

 Totally, we excavated 2 700 000+ m3 of soil.
