Foundation Works Finished at Project in Sochi

In Sochi VELESSTROY is building Sirius, a one-of-a-kind world-class concert and theatre complex that will hold classical music concerts, operas, ballets, variety shows and gala-concerts. 

The 11-store building 50 m high with a total area of approximately 50 thousand sq. meter will have two halls for 300 and 1200 spectators respectively. 

One of the most notable process element of the staged part will be a single-piece moving acoustic orchestra pit. It will be concealed inside the back stage of the main hall and will come out to house the orchestra during the concert programs. 

As of today, Velesstroy has finished foundation works at the main building. Concrete casting works for columns and walls of the first floor are nearing completion, casting of the beam and floor structures is still underway. At the second floor we are casting vertical structures and soon will proceed to the installation of steel structures with the overall weight 5 823 t.
