VELESSTROY Begins Introduction of Automated Management System for Labour Saving Equipment

VELESSTROY has developed and launched the introduction of the Automated Management System for Labour Saving Equipment. 

This is the first of its kind Russian project in the construction industry. Its key purpose is to increase the efficiency of labour saving equipment usage, optimize expenses and make the labour saving equipment logging process automatic. 

To achieve these goals VELESSTOY used a SAP Cloud Platform based cloud system. It includes web and mobile apps that the personnel will be using at sites. The mobile app can be used even without the Internet connection, which is very important for construction sites in remote locations where there is no mobile network coverage. 

The app will help Company's employees: 

• Establish who the device is assigned to on-line; 

• Update device statuses: in use, under repair, out of order; 

• Calculate the actual cost of equipment ownership: repair cost, cost of spare parts; 

• Speed up the equipment logging activities: acceptance, handover, inventory taking; 

The cumulative equipment use statistics in the long run will help us do more precise planning for labour saving equipment and spare parts for the whole construction project. 

The system has already had a pilot run at Omsk Refinery, Nizhny Novgorod Refinery, Grushovaya-6 and Sheskharis projects. Soon, SAP Cloud Platform will be distributed among other projects as well.

All this will help us make educated managerial decisions faster than ever before”, - Malbashich Darko, Head of the Process Equipment Department, says.
